Biographical note
Pontecorvo received a degree in Agricultural Science from the Faculty of Agricultural Science at the University of Pisa in 1928 and returned in 1991 to particpate in the 150th anniversary celebrations. He also contributed to the round table meeting on 'Agricultural Research and Productivity, Technological Progress and Protection of the Environment' held on 15 February 1991.
