About this work

Description

A weevil is a small beetle within the family Curculionidae. Weevils are often considered pests due to their ability to decimate crops, however they can also be useful in the biological control of invasive plant species. Weevils occur in a wide range of colors and have oval body shapes. The body of most species is covered in scales or shiny hairs. Their most characteristic feature is the shape of their head. An adult weevil has an elongated head that forms a snout (Its snout can sometimes be as long as its body). Its mouth parts are located at the tip of the snout. Width of image 5 centimetres
