Creator/production credits

A record of works of the Carracci in Bologna (with a few in other places). Some of the prints are by the Carracci, while others are executed after the Carracci by other artists including: Domenico Bonaveri, Antonio Bresciani, Lorenzo Capponi, Olivier Dauphin, Cesare Fantetti, Giuseppe Maria Mitelli, Carl'Antonio Pisarri, Guido Reni, Lorenzo Tinti and Giovanni Maria Viani. Fols 38-49 contain Bernardo Castello's illustrations to La Gierusalemme liberata di Torquato Tasso, Genoa 1590 (22 engravings, including variants of the same plate). The creator of the album, Pietro Fancelli, attended the Accademia Clementina in Bologna where he studied in particular the Carracci and their school (Dizionario biografico degli italiani, vol. 44, pp. 551-553)
