![TYPHUS SYNCOPALIS, OR THE SPOTTED-FEVER OF NEW-ENGLAND, AS IT APPEARED IN THE EPIDEMIC OF 1823, MZDD1ETOWN, CONNECTICUT. BY THOMAS MINER, M. Our knowledge in many branches of Natural History [and Medicine] would be much less imperfect than it is, if many facts had not been sup- pressed, either from a fear lest they should be thought incredible, or from that unreasonable incredulity which will not, even from the strongest testi- mony, give credence to any thing that it cannot explain. For my own part, I am contented to write faithfully what I have ob- served, leaving every body afterwards to follow his own way at his peril. MIDDLETOWN, (COJVJV.) PRINTED FOR THE AUTHOR. 1825.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b21141496_0003.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
