About this work

Description

All the men but one wear the same uniform, including peaked cap, double breasted jacket and fob chain. The one seated in the centre, presumably the supervisor or manager, wears no cap, a different style of jacket, and no fob chain. All the men have moustaches without beards or side-whiskers. Part of the hospital, covered in ivy, is shown in the background
