Copy 1. Note: gatherings numbered in ink. 21 and 22 are duplicate, with chapters i-xlv of "De simplicibus laxatiuis" repeated. Gathering 23 missing six leaves with chapters liii-lxxxvi. Manuscript note at end of text "Sextu[s] & septima particulam non adesso vides optime textor". With ms marginal notes throughout (many cropped in rebinding). Various modern notes in ink and pencil on endleaves. Woodcuts hand coloured. Binding: 17th century? parchment (considerably worn, possibly a reused document) with blue speckled text block edges. Library stamp on endleaf "Universitat Wien Botanisches Institut D.K.K". From the collection of Kurt Wolff purchased from Joseph Baer in 1926. Accession number 44838.
