Biographical note
The Manchester Hospitals' Arts Project was initiated in 1975 by Peter Senior, with the aim of improving the environment of hospitals, health centres and clinics in the Manchester area. This was to be achieved through the introudction of arts activities for patients, and the improvement of the physical space through artworks and improved design.
