Description

Programme for a fund raising boxing tournament held at the Albert Hall, London in 1945. Includes advertisements for Oxo beef extract and Bassett's Liquorice Allsorts (with Bertie Bassett dressed as a soldier). The front has a colour illustration of "Three happy men of St. Dunstan's" walking along with arms linked, all of them smoking cigarettes and Ian Fraser House (convalescence and holiday home in Brighton) behind them. This was built in 1937-39, designed by Francis Lorne, modernized and extended in 1974-5.
