Three attendants try in vain to catch the horse which has broken loose from its training post in the riding arena; having lost control the quack doctor's hat and wig fly off as he is about to tumble to the ground

Lettering

The high-german doctor teaching his horse the manege gallop, is in danger of breaking his neck. ... Lettering continues: three verses stating that the quack doctor should stick to "making pills and plasters" rather than over ambitiously attempting to "manage the great horse" of sophisticated medicine
