Journals and memorandum books written during the Arctic Expedition of H.M.S. North Star

Original journals and memorandum books, written between 28 April, 1852 and 8 November, 1853, during the Arctic Expedition of H.M.S. North Star. Author's holograph MSS. The volumes are not uniform, but are all examples of `Harewood's improved memorandum book, with metallic pencil'. The pencil is wanting in each volume. All except No. 2 have a brass clasp. Illustrated with numerous pencil drawings of coast-lines, scenery, etc.
