About this work

Description

"A collaboration between Seleena Laverne Daye and women who are part of the group Safety 4 Sisters. The zine was made between September- December 2019, where the women shared and told their stories of immigration, family, mental health, friendships and support networks. All money from the sale of the zine goes straight to Safety 4 Sisters. Since 2009, S4S have fought for the rights of migrant women who have experienced gender based violence. Based in the North West of England - but with a global outlook - they are a feminist and anti-racist organisation with a vision for a world in which all migrant women are safe and live lives free from patriarchal and state injustice."--From website.

"I got asked to lead 7 sessions with some of the women who are members of Safety 4 Sisters, and this is the result!"-- Page [1]

"Content warning: this zine contains mentions of mental health issues, suicide, sexual abuse, domestic abuse and racism."-- Page [1]
