the examination or received the certificate required by the 55 Geo. 3, c. 194.” And under this enactment it wsiS held in Steavenso7i v. Oliver, 8 Meeson and Welsby, 234, that notwithstanding the act only re¬ mained in force for one year, and then expired, that those persons who held warrants prior to the 1st of August 1826 (the date of the act), and who therefore were entitled to practise as apothecaries, were not deprived of that light by the expiration of the act. Apothecaries actually practising are exempt from serving on juries, or of filling the office of constable or overseer. T. w. s. Temple, 1845.
