About this work

Description

"When the US shut down in mid-March 2020 due to COVID-19, artist and cartoonist, Spencer Hicks, decided to create a comic-page-a-day story to post on his Instagram page. The story slowly evolved, informed by Hick's current mood as he was coping with life during a global pandemic and lockdown. As he mused in one of his Instagram posts: "This story is coming to me day by day as the pandemic rages on, in waves of interrupted fitful sleep in the wee hours of the night. I don't know what's going to happen... things will be getting worse before they get better and I suspect that may be the case here too." Those 71 posts have become this comic collection, Day of the Corvid."--From publisher.
