Description
Photograph of a drawing by Jacques de Gheijn, depicting a seated woman with the personification of death leaning towards her face. This reproduction was made during the VI International Congress for the History of Medicine held in Leiden 1927 at the Exposition d'art Medico-Historique and is described as Dessin [Drawing] 8, Une femme surprise par la mort, in the exhibition catalogue. The original drawing is held by the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
