About this work

Description

Cell derived from an adrenal chromaffin cell tumour. This kind of tumour is known as a pheochromocytoma. Chromaffin cells contain catecholamines, ATP, proopiomelanocortin and other neuropeptides. The majority store adrenaline and some store noradrenaline. Biomedical Image Awards 2002.
