Description
Large board described as "Plate III" and "Plate IV" with composite photographs and component photographs (males only) demonstrating face shapes. Possibly used to illustrate a publication? Includes sixteen composite photographs labelled "fig. 22-48", grouped as "narrow ovoids" and "broad & thick". Seventy-eight individual portrait photographs, numbered but not sequential. Some photographs are marked in pen, possibly to highlight the shape of the face. Annotated "1889" by Galton on reverse.
