About this work

Description

Postcard showing 10 of Roper's midgets dressed in Regency clothes performing a dance routine around a large clock painted to look like it is made from china. There is an ornate pedestal to either side as part of the stage set. The card would probably have been sold as a souvenir at places where they were exhibited as part of a freak or variety show.
