Portrait of Samuel Medley (1769-1857), English painter, by his grandson Sir Henry Thompson, 1st Baronet (1820-1904), British surgeon in 1849. The item was given to the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum by Sir Zachary Cope, biographer of Sir Henry Thompson.
