Collection of descriptions of various inventions, mechanical tricks, scientific toys, etc.: in French. Illustrated with rough pen-drawn diagrams and figures. There are 30 ll., written by the same hand on paper of different formats, and 11 pp. of a printed 'Détail des expériences et tours que le Sieur Préjean, ci-devant du Palais Royal, à côté des Variétés montre dans son Cabinet ... à la Syrène Savante, et dont il vent toutes les pièces à juste prix' [c. 1775]. Pp. 17-20 contain 'Pièces présentées dans la Salle des Beaujolais par l'Ambigu Physique, pasques 1789'. Among the items are automata, trick boxes, mechanical ducks, a machine-gun, a revolver, alarm-clock, etc. Produced in Paris?
