Description

Presentation pack of 6 postage stamps issued by the Royal Mail Group Ltd. on Thursday, 16 September 2010. It has all six stamps featuring a hip joint replacement (Sir John Charnley, 1962), artificial lens implant in the eye (Sir Harold Ridley, 1949), malaria parasite transmitted by mosquitoes (Sir Ronald Ross, 1897), computed tomography scanner image (Sir Godfrey Hounsfield, 1971), heart-regulating beta blockers (Sir James Black, 1962) and antibiotic properties of penicillin (Sir Alexander Fleming, 1928) - supplied by Wellcome Images.
