Description

King George IV. A full-length calligraphic rendering of Thomas Lawrence's portrait of the king sitting on a sofa with his left arm resting on the sofa. The portrait is mainly engraved in calligraphic curves, with only the head, hands, shoes, sofa, stand and table etched or stippled. The garter of his breeches is engraved with the motto of the Order of the Garter, "Mal y pense"
