The file comprises:

Copy letter (January 1885), Wellcome to Radford & Frankland, referring to their letter of 7 January (WF/E/02/01/02/29). Wellcome's letter begins: "I cannot admit that the manner in which I have kept the books of the firm has been erroneous."

Copy letter (15 January, 1885), Markby, Stewart & Co to Wellcome, advising that Burroughs is "determined not to agree to an equal sharing of profits" and that therefore Wellcome has "no alternative but to go on to the end of the partnership term on the same footing as at present, or bring the question before an arbitrator."

8 May, 1885, Radford & Frankland to Burroughs Wellcome & Co. "We send you enclosed for your perusal and suggestions the draft of the proposed new Deed of partnership" [Deed not present in file]. The letter concludes (sentence marked in red in the margin): "The clause in the old Deed enabling Mr Wellcome to claim an equal partnership on complying with certain conditions is omitted altogether."

11 October, 1887 - 2 May, 1888. Eleven large sheets (numbered 6-16) comprising a sequence of copied correspondence between the solicitors representing the two partners.
