Challenging children. Part 4, Baby love.

The last in a four-part series of programmes looking at children with problematic behaviour. This part aims to show parents with insecurely attached babies and children how to give the love and attention that will help them to thrive. Vicki Midwinter, a young mother of twins, describes her problems with bonding with her babies and her post-natal depression. Sharon Coulbeck suffers from postpartum psychosis which led to her feeling profoundly alienated from her newborn baby daughter. The effects of 'insensitive parenting' on young children as they grow older is explored by behavioural psychologists, and the two young women are encouraged to attend counselling sessions.
