Description
"Wilcox: List of Herbs [and other medicines]: MS".
Names on the flyleaf: "Hugonis Wilcox" (the Reverend Hugh Wilcox, b. 1582, Pontesbury, Salop); "M[ist]ris Orton att Horsey [or Kersey?] downe" [there is a Horsey Down in Wiltshire, and a Kersey in Suffolk]"; "John"; "Jane".
Other names of contemporary individuals: "Doctor Barker" (f. 94b); "The Reignalds at Sir Will[ia]m Woodhouses at Little Chesterford, [Essex]" [?Sir William Woodhouse (1570-1639), of Waxham, Norfolk].
The bulk of the contents are in English or Latin.
