Lettering continues: "De socialistische epidemie, die onze maatschappij teistert, en dit jaar eerst een Keizer, daarna een Kardinal op het ziekbed wierp, heeft ook Amsterdam niet verschoond. Eenige raadsleden willen de verplichting tot kindervoeding metterdaad erkend zien." (Prof. Dr. C. Bellaar Spruijt in het Handelsblad van 29 October.)
