Illustration showing Copper-belly snake (Anguis ventre cuprei coloris) against Ilathera bark (An ricinoides aeleagni folio). This snake is of a brown colour except for its belly which is of a muddy red or copper colour. It is not venomous. The Ilathera bark, a shrub, grows plentifully on most of the Bahama Islands.
