Description

In response to various letters which Tuke has received from Docwra and others re. generous subscription of Mary Alexander and her wish that the patient S.B. should remain at the Retreat although she is better. Tuke says that although some patients have stayed when recovered, the Retreat has no right to exercise compulsion when there is proof of recovery
