The chart divides the faculties vertically into Intellectual Faculties, Sentiments and Feelings or Propensities. The horizontal key includes the rubrics Functions and Moral Influence, Excessive Manifestation and Moral Abuses, and Deficiency

Creator/production credits

Craig was an active itinerant phrenologist in the 1830s and 40s. He also lectured on phrenology and on mesmerism. He was an Owenite socialist and an organiser of the Ralahine Commune in Ireland ('Phrenology in the British Isles', R. Cooter, London 1989, p. 87)
