Description

Woodcut illustration from an edition of 1763 (28th year of the Qianlong reign period of the Qing dynasty). It charts the paths and acu-moxa locations of the three foot yang channels, i.e. the bladder channel of foot taiyang, with marked points including zhiyin (Reaching Yin), tonggu (Connecting Valley), shugu (Bundled Bone), jinggu (Capital Bone), jinmen (Golden Portal) and shenmai (Extending Vessel); the gall bladder channel of foot shaoyang, with marked points including zu qiaoyin (Yin of Foot Crevice), xiaxi (Clamped Stream), diwuhui (Earth Five Meetings), zu linqi (Foot Close to Tears) and qiuxu (Mound of Ruins); and the stomach channel of foot yangming, with marked points including lidui (Sharp Opening), neiting (Inner Courtyard), xiangu (Sunken Valley), chongyang (Rushing Yang), jiexi (Unleashed Stream) and fenglong (Abundant Bulge).
