Reproduction note

Probably one of the designs that Willett had executed in plaster by the modeller William Collins on the coved ceiling of his library, in which Willett, assisted by Joseph Banks and James Athenian Stuart, traced the rise and progress of knowledge. In 1785 Willett published a description of the room in a folio with twenty-five engravings
