Description
The consultant palpates the abdomen of a male patient and then checks the legs and feet. An x-ray reveals areas of damage. The surgeon makes a deep incicion in the abdomen and eases the intestines out of the way. He then proceeds to locate and remove the damaged part of the aorta where blood and tissue has collected internally. A graft is sewn into the portion of the aorta that was damaged. This procedure can take several hours so this film is a significantly edited version of the operation.
