The present edition, complete and with the portraits, 1s greatly to be preferred. Top and bottom of title-pages rather closely cut as always, and a wormhole through blank corners of some ten pages in third volume, but a clean and otherwise excellent copy. t FIFTEENTH CENTURY POPULAR MEDICINE. 202 VERSEHUNG VON LEIB, Seel, Ehr und Gut. At the beginning advice is given on how to nurse the sick and to look after them, how to make a will (an example of such a document 1s given). The anonymous author then says that it 1s necessary to seek the advice of a physician in illness, but im case that a physician should not be available he gives an extensive and detailed popular instruction on medical matters, which fills the largest part of the book. Sch popular medical books are, of course, extremely rare. A minute hole burned in blank margin of first leaf, and avery slight stain on a few leaves, but a fine copy. ps Hain 16021. B.M.C. IJ., 368.
