    have been so frequently deceived by medical works, and we have seen so much quackery, chicanery, and imposture among medical writers, that it is with reluctance we take up our pen on the subject. We consider that Mr. Lee is free from any of this affectation and pretension, and his work seems written in a plain and candid spirit of truth.—Metropolitan Conservative Journal. This is a second edition of a work which, although the explanation it gives of certain phenomena connected with cer- tain disorders is open to discussion, deserves attentive consi- deration from all professional men.
