Description

A comparative study of magical practices among the Anglo-Saxons. A Thesis for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the University of London. Typescript with copious holograph corrections and additions. The 11 ff. contain corrected proofs of a Paper by the Author, 'The dissimilarity of ancient Irish magic from that of the Anglo-Saxons'. This was intended to be used as an appendix to the main work. The 6 ll. contain a holograph note on epidemics, which was also intended to form part of the main work, which is unpublished. There is also an inserted typescript letter (2 ll.) signed by the Rev. Paul Grosjean, S.J., dated 16 January, 1928. Produced in London.
