About this work

Description

Mirror Mirror - Artwork reflecting an aura suffered by the artist during a migraine. The image depicts the overlaying objects observed when looking around a lounge. The elements of the room are overlapped and the complete panaramic view is compacted into a small and complex area. The expression of claustrophobia is intended to convey the feeling of panic and wonder that this particular aura had on the sufferer. The migrane lasted 3 days causing pain and desperation. The flatterning of the images was another aura that was experienced in which objects lost their 3-dimentionality. The colours were used to convey beauty and vibrance but were painful to see during the migrane.
