Description

Image of a mechanical stage plate with 2-way motion (late nineteenth century), camera lucida (c.1850) and binocular ophthalmoscope (late nineteenth century). The Nachet Collection was a large set of microscopes collected by Albert Nachet and acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. The stage plate and ophthalmoscope are now held by the Science Museum (object number: A63000 and A63003). The camera lucida (accession number 63002) is not held by Wellcome Collection.
