Description

A fable in verse by Jean-Pierre Claris de Florian (1755-1794), "Les deux voyageurs", the text of which is printed on the verso. One of the travellers (Thomas) picks up and keeps for himself a purse full of money which someone else has dropped, and refuses to share it with his companion Lubin. When they are approached by some robbers, Lubin takes his revenge on Thomas: he refuses to share the risks and abandons him to the robbers. Thomas is robbed of the money and of his smart clothes.
