    The editor of the Medical Times too, calmly but firmly reveals the present condition of allopathic practice in these words, “ The most profoundly learned members of the profession begin to waver about the positive efficacy of their art, perferring in the greater number of instances to become silent lookers on in their attendance on the sick, rather than hazarding the risk of impertinent meddling with the grand and all-efficient workings of the human body.’^
