The following episodes from this investigatory medical current affairs series are available:- "Part 2: Gene Therapy" (1994) Shahnaz Pakraven examines the prospects for gene therapy and finds an uneven level of knowledge and expertise within the NHS with some sufferers from genetic diseases being denied the information and resources that would help them to cope. While genetic screening is cheap and quick, counselling demands both time and money. At least one health authority has decided it would be irresponsible to offer screening when counselling would be available.
