No new Clinics were proposed during the year, but average attendances at the new Thames Road Clinic have increased from 33 to 40.8. Inevitably a decrease is shown at Hawes Side Lane Clinic which previously took the load now attending Thames Road. Layton Clinic also shows an average attendance decrease of 6, this tends to show that Clinics established on large housing estates are inclined to show reduced attendances as the young families grow older and the progenies diminish. With the integration of the School Medical and Healt h Services, it was found that the services of the part-time Medical Practitioner, employed on a sessional basis, could be dispensed with.
