Delineations of cutaneous diseases. The seventh edition, edited by Anthony Todd Thomson [1778-1849]. Copy of the text by Charles Robert Bree [1811-1886], and of the illustrations by E. Bree. The illustrations are carefully executed and coloured; some are pasted down. In the lower margin of the title-page is an inscription: 'E. Bree pinxit'. He was a physician and naturalist, who took his M.D. Degree at Edinburgh in 1858, and was physician to the Essex and Colchester Hospital for many years. An opponent of Darwinism, he wrote a standard ornithological work, and other books on zoology [Cf. B.M.J., 1886, ii, p. 954].
