Description
Bundle of five travel documents written in Arabic, and a map.
One of the documents is written in Arabic and Italian, and appears to be an agreement made in Cairo between Montagu Boulton, Francis Galton and Hedworth Barclay on the one part and Rais Ahmed el Hassnawi on the other part, for transport rental and passage to Upper Egypt, signed 25 November 1845.
The bundle also contains a hand drawn map of the river Nile, with ports, towns and landmarks indicated in annotation.
