At the beginning and end is inserted a printed broadside 'Programma' in respect of the public 'Disputatio', in two parts, by Nigrinus, entitled 'Conclusiones ex universa philosophia rationali ad mentem Doctoris Subtilis': the first is to be held 29th January, 1663, the second on an unspecified date in July of the same year. They were to be held 'in Seminario Archi-Episcopali Pragensi', and in both cases Brauczek was Praeses. These lecture notes do not give the names of the lecturers, nor of the student who wrote them, nor, indeed, any other particulars except the dates. There are, however, the indications from the inserted printed broadsides, which give the name of the place, and of the writer. A comparison with MS. No. 2543 shows that in this volume we have an earlier version of notes of lectures by these two Professors. As in MS. No. 2543 this copy of the lecture-notes bears on the title-page the two inscriptions: 'Bibliothecae Beneschoviensis Scholarum Piarum', and below: 'Ex legato Ad. R. D. Wenceslai Benardi Singer Curati Paczoviensis' [ -1717]. Beneschau is a town 39 kilometres from Prague, now in the Czech Republic but formerly in Austria. Produced in Prague.
