Description

A model of a short length of a DNA molecule. Oxygen atoms are shown in red, nitrogen atoms in blue, phosphorus in purple and carbons in white. Hydrogen atoms are not shown. This picture shows a stretch of DNA approximately 12 base pairs in length but in reality a piece of DNA can be millions of base pairs long.
