Woman with myxoedema, after treatment

Black and white photograph, in profile, of the face of a woman, aged 47, who was suffering from well-marked myxoedema, taken seven weeks after treatment. She underwent treatment by hypodermic injections of thyroid juice. These were administered twice a week, 13 injections of 20 or 25 minims of the juice, prepared by Martin and Brady were given.
