Description
Unspecified leprosy: complications
These are the feet of a patient with leprosy that have been scalded in hot water. The feet are anaesthetic due to peripheral nerve damage. Injury may go unnoticed, leading to secondary infection of the tissues.
The feet are already visibly impaired from previous injury and infiltration of the bone by leprosy bacilli.
