About this work

Description

Patricia Chisholm , an immunologist and Richard Lane, a medical entymologist, have called for proposals for research projects to be funded by a 1̋0 m. grant from the Wellcome Trust. The bid is for resources to study diseases in animals which could transfer to humans, using new biomedical and genetic knowledge. Are diseases transferred from animals becoming more common? Yes, and also being more accurately diagnosed. Rabies, Brucellosis, Lime disease and Plague are the kinds of diseases which could attract grants. The research should be carried out in a European university with the best laboratory facilities, but could be on any animal disease.
