Description
Woodblock illustration from a work on 'Chinese' medicine by the 18th century Japanese physician Hara Masakatsu, published in 1807 (4th year of the Bunkwa era). The acu-moxa locations on the five channels running through the thorax and abdomen -- from centre to periphery, renmai (the Director Vessel, often translated as Conception Vessel), the foot shaoyin channel, the foot yangming channel, the foot taiyin channel and the foot jueyin channel -- are marked and labelled on a partial outline drawing of the torso.
