About this work

Description

Jean Baptiste Kléber (1753-1800), a French general of the Revolutionary wars, suppressed the counterrevolutionary uprising in the Vendée area in 1793 and later had a prominent role in Napoleon's Egyptian campaign (1798-1800). He had begun to govern Egypt when he was assassinated in June 1800
