Description

This is the first part of Jonathan Holloway's play based on the true story of 50-year-old ex-boxer Louis Washkansky's heart transplant operation. In December 1967, Washkansky received the heart of a young woman in an operation performed by Christiaan Bernard. It was the first human heart transplant in Cape Town, South Africa.
